I wanted to tell you about a book recently released that includes hundreds of survey responses by virtual entrepreneuts like you and me. The book, The Virtual Entrepreneurship Textbook is by Professor Lauri Smedley.
Last year, Lauri contacted me by email and invited me to take part in a survey she was conducting as research for an upcoming textbook for a college course all about virtual entrepreneurship. I responded with a resounding yes, I would love to participate in the survey. I then invited her on the show and our conversation aired in one of the virtual assistant podcast episodes Episode 42: Your Input Counts. In the episode Lauri talked about the course she teaches at Sacramento City College and the research for her book.
After a year of collecting and then compiling data, the book has been released. Here is what Lauri had to say about the book:
“I am happy to announce that the virtual entrepreneurship book is finally finished…just in time for my Virtual Office Careers & Technologies class that will be using it beginning next week. The finished product is 367 pages in length and slightly more than one inch (2.54 centimeters) thick. It is printed on standard letter-size paper.
Writing this book has truly been a labor of love. The finished product turned out better than I ever imagined.”
I have a copy of the book and have just began reading it. It looks to be full of virtual assistant resources and information for home based business owner. For me, the most interesting aspect of the book are the quotes, insight and information from virtual assistants from around the world.
